No Mans LandI sit next to her no more than a foot away As we both stare into our drinks with nothing to say.No Mans Land
I start to talk
as she does aswell Both conversations stop in our small silent hell.
She looks up
with a nervous smile a motion i would normally gaze at for a while.
Instead i smile back and she asks "whats wrong?" There is nothing to say but "For this moment i've waited so long."
She smiles at the table and stretches out her hand. and i stretch out mine to meet hers in that foot of no mans land.

and yep, the boy with ash blonde hair is me. i remember writing that on the bus ride home from uni.
i wrote vodka porridge 2 days ago. was just lying on my bed and the first line came in my head. it's about a friend of mine. who used to drink a lot. through writing that poem i realised there was a lot of her in me. it also made me take a long hard look at myself.
